The Poem says,

Footprints in the Sand

One night a man dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.  Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.  He noticed each scene had two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonged to him and the other to Jesus.

As the last scene flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.  He noticed that during the worst times of his life there was only one set of footprints.

So he asked, “Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during my worst times of life, there was only one set of footprints in the sand.  I don’t understand why you would leave me alone.

Jesus replied, “My precious child, I love you and would never leave you.  During those times of suffering when you only saw one set of footprints, was when I carried you.
